Limericks Medieval Quarter - The Locke Bar!
Limerick's Medieval Quarter -the most beautiful part of Limerick!
For the next few weeks let us enlighten you on the many historical and cultural treasures this gem has to offer:
A Cultural treasure: - The Locke Bar
Our tour of Limerick city wouldn't be complete without a whistle stop at this classic pub. Nestled at the edge of the Medieval Quarter, on the original site of one of the city's oldest pubs dated back to the 1700's.
This old world pub with it's stone walls and wood paneling interior and of course it's great outdoor riverside area, lined with trees along Georges Quay is a magical setting which lends its name to one of the most popular pubs in Limerick, especially this Summer - #scorchio
When looking for things to do in Limerick, why not go on a beer tasting date? The Locke proudly boasts the best craft beer from Dingle to Belfast on tap, including Limerick’s very own Treaty City pale ale, it also serves food from early til late with a guaranteed trad music session from 9pm every night. The staple micro-beer is the Locke Stout, so lovers of the black stuff can try out something new.

So it's not all go go on the Limerick tour, we do appreciate a stop or two along the way for the weary traveler to rest the legs and have a beverage or two!
